My Client is the sole manufacturer of their product in the whole of the UK and their parent company is the world's leading manufacturer. They are now looking to recruit an experienced and committed Production Supervisor / Manager to manage and develop the shift team of Production Technicians and Supervisors, including taking responsibility for performance management and appraisals to achieve expectations.

The Role: Production / Supervisor Manager

* Responsible for day to day operations
* Ensure the good operation of the plant, running the plant at the highest performance level
* Ensure the supply of raw materials
* Continuously drive performance for all department indicators on the plant
* Work with the Process Engineers on process related problems
* Carry out a plant visit daily and attend the weekly management walk around
* To order raw materials, in conjunction with the supply chain team,
* To be available outside of office hours in order to resolve operational problems
* Be responsible for internal plant transfers
* Run or act as a key member on projects across the plant
* Maximise production department assistance with new product development and process related issues
* Maximise plant and equipment for both quality and performance

Skills / Experience /Qualifications: Production Supervisor / Manager

* Engineering or Chemistry Degree - ideal
* Heavy Industry experience
* Proven Management experience/qualifications
* Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma qualifications
* NEBOSH General Certificate - ideal
* First Aid at Work Certificate
* Microsoft Office skills
