Our Client based in Kent is looking to recruit a Procurement Manager ASAP
Purpose of the job
Carry out the day to day management of all frameworks and supplier lists applicable to Property/Construction - including the Principal Contractor, Consultants and Asbestos Frameworks.
This will include administering and managing the processes for supplier checks, mini competition or call off, collation of performance data, developing and updating of template and guidance documents and procedures (for customers and suppliers) and being the day to day point of contact for Procurement and Framework queries.
Main duties & responsibilities
1 Add value to the Procurement/Frameworks team, in order to deliver a quality service to clients.
2 Manage the Frameworks and act as a first point of contact for all queries.
3 To understand and input into any new supplier procurement proposals and assist with the development and implementation of systems for administering resulting new supply chains, frameworks and contracts effectively and efficiently.
4 Manage with the recording and logging all contracts and ensure they comply with all procedures, policies and practices.
5 Carry out supplier checks as required - including checks on performance, health & safety, insurance and financial standing.
6 Assist the Senior Procurement Manager to ensure all call offs, competitions and tenders are managed consistently and effectively and in line with relevant procurement regulations and legislation.
7 Assist and advise the wider Property team on the evaluation and selection process - including evaluation criteria, scoring, administration, document control and supplier feedback.
8 Assist in providing reports and performance monitoring for senior managers on the overall performance of the contractors/suppliers. Manage Framework KPI's. Define and put into effect the escalation process for any issues.
9 Proven experience working within the construction/property industry is essential.

o Excellent standard of computer literacy - including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
o Ability to carry our comprehensive research and report back clearly.
