Night Porter

Salary: £21,000 - £23,000

Hours: 45 hours a week, 4 days on 4 days off

Location: Tunbridge Wells

Salomons Estate, part of the Markerstudy Leisure Group, is situated just two miles outside of Royal Tunbridge Wells, and is a stunning Victorian mansion build in 1829, set in 36 acres of rolling gardens. Comprising of the main country house and several outbuildings, we have 47 well-appointed bedrooms, 14 flexible event and meeting spaces, offices which house 18 different local companies and an impressive Victorian theatre which can seat over 300 guests.

Job Role:

* Managing the reception department during the evening hours dealing with checking and checking out guests, alongside answering telephone and emails.
* Develop extensive knowledge of all hotel services and facilities.
* Ensuring all buildings are secure during the night
* Perform all pre and post night audit duties, including security and the cleaning and servicing of the public spaces.
* Provide a friendly and proficient out of hours hotel food and beverage room service accurately recording all guest charges.
* Setting up rooms for meetings and private events in accordance with room layout instructions in line with client requirements.

The Successful Applicant:

* Customer service experience in hospitality
* Positive and outgoing attitude to customers and colleagues
* Able to work on own initiative and able to work effectively
* Intermediate knowledge in Microsoft, Excel and Email
