Pack & Despatch Supervisor

My Client is the sole manufacturer of their product in the whole of the UK and their parent company is the world's leading manufacturer. They are now looking to recruit an experienced Pack & Despatch Supervisor to provide a high quality of service, by the timely and accurate delivery of products to their customers. Also to manage your team to ensure that objectives and performance targets are met.

The Role: Pack & Despatch Supervisor

Protect the health and safety of your team and the logistic suppliers on site.

Conduct risk assessments

Ensure that no reject product is ever despatched.

Liaise with the laboratory to guarantee quality products

Understand quality tests and implications of process actions on quality

Maintains a high standard of products & packaging

Organises recycling of rejects

Responsible for carrying out disciplinary procedures, signing daily timesheets, holiday requests etc.

Plans and organise the packing programme.

Responsible for reaching a high standard on the Packing Plant, Bagging Machine and high efficiency of bulk loading operations

Play a key role on improvements on the packing line by liaising with the Engineering Department

Responsible for leased fork-lift trucks within the department

Responsible for data capture and reporting on stock levels and packing performance

Responsible for timely purchasing for all production consumable products



Skills / Experience / Qualifications: Pack & Despatch Supervisor

Management / Supervisory experience/qualification in a Despatch/Logistic Service Environment

Valid First Aid Certificate

Able to work to flexible time requirements

FLT Driver & trainer qualification preferred

NEBSM

Positive attitude towards change

Ability to work as a team member

Knowledge of French and other continental languages would be useful
