A well-established market leader in the electronics field is looking to expand their team with the addition of a Procurement Manager.
The right candidate will mange the relationship with all suppliers to the company as well as negotiating pricing and procurement agreements with new and current suppliers.
A major part of the role will be to select and maintain suppliers taking into account quality, pricing and reliability whilst managing component pricing to maximise gross profit.
You must be able to manage the selection of suitable suppliers whilst listening to input from the Managing Director and Development and Production Managers as well as being able to manage cost improvement process to meet the company's gross margin plan.
The successful candidate must be able to monitor stock levels and advise Managing Director of potential shortage or overstock as well as being able to develop an understanding of the key technical aspects of the parts used by the company and an understanding of the potential suppliers for these parts.
