We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual to join our General Office team as a Deputy Building Services Supervisor. We are happy to accept both full time and part time applications, the team work a shift pattern, Monday – Friday, covering the hours of 7am – 5pm, so availability between these hours is essential.
You will be working as part of a very busy general office team who provide internal support across the business. This is a varied role, with no two days being the same, and therefore you must be flexible in your approach to supporting the team and firm to achieve its goals and targets.
You will demonstrate a positive attitude to your work and actively support your colleagues on a day to day basis to ensure excellent service delivery. Equally important, you will have excellent communication skills enabling you to communicate well at all levels.
You will be based at our offices in Maidstone, Kent, and will assist and report into the Building Services Supervisor.
Your main responsibilities will include:
• All tasks involving incoming and outgoing post
• General movement of physical files, supplies and services around the three buildings
• Recycling duties as part of our sustainability programme
• Daily Banking duties as requested.
• Delivery and collection of post/ documents from other Brachers buildings, businesses and the courts
• Collecting catering/hospitality supplies/ordering stationery
• Assisting with office moves
• General maintenance of buildings and facilities, including minor repairs and decorating to ensure the buildings are maintained to a high standard
• Assisting the supervisor with health and safety matters and managing outside contractors as directed
• Holding the emergency on call phone on a rota basis.
• Keyholder for all sites.
• Supervising the team when the Building Services Supervisor is away from the office.
• Other reasonable duties to support the needs of the team
The successful candidate will:
• be self-motivated and able to demonstrate a positive attitude towards their work and colleagues
• have a flexible approach
• have excellent communication and inter personal skills
• have a good general level of education
• have a full clean driving licence in order to utilise the firm’s van for the performance of their duties
Previous experience of working in a similar role with general maintenance experience would be an advantage although not essential as full training will be provided.
