We are proud to be supporting a leading manufacturer, based in East Kent, in its search for a Quality Manager.
Reporting to the Operations General Manager, the successful candidate will lead the Quality Team and develop a quality culture throughout the organisation. Understanding customer needs as well as their certification requirements will be essential in order to develop effective quality control processes in line with industry standards and Aerospace requirements. The incoming candidate will be a key representative of the Company and have considerable contact with customers and suppliers.
In order to be considered for the role you will have a BSc in a science related discipline and/or significant work experience within a technical and quality led business e.g. Aerospace/Automotive/Pharmaceutical manufacturer. You will also have experience of working in a functional organisation structure with at least ten years within Aerospace, Automotive or Pharmaceutical industry; five of those years need to be at leader or supervisory level.
Knowledge and experience of achieving and maintaining the following accreditation's: ISO9001, AS9100, ISO14001, ISO18001. Maintenance and improvement of a QMS within an Aerospace business. Change Management and new product introduction and development, problem solving/RCA tools such as 8D/9S/7-Step and statistical analysis of process trends and performance.
It is essential that you are auditor and/or lead auditor trained. Membership of any chartered or recognised quality body or group is preferred. Training in Lean or statistical analysis is desirable. You will be proficient in various computer software i.e. Microsoft Office.
You will be a confident public speaker and possess drive and energy with the ability to think strategically and problem solve whilst championing change.
