Preston Court Wedding & Events Venue is looking for talented, enthusiastic Event Managers to join our friendly team on this family owned wedding venue, based on a rural farm in east Kent, about 9 miles from Canterbury. We would like you to start in APRIL 2020 and work through until late October.

Applicants must have experience in managing events or have been a front of house for a restaurant /Cafe, be polite, well presented and enjoy working with people. The hours can be long and late on into the evenings at weekends, due to the nature of it being an events venue where we hold weddings.

The work is interesting and varied, you will be managing a small team of bar staff, and coordinating some really incredible weddings, so we are looking for someone who is good at multi tasking and able to act calmly under pressure. The work is really rewarding and the occasions are happy and full of joy. This role might suit someone who is retired or who is looking for an interesting job with people. Similarly it might suit someone at university who is looking for about 10-30 hours work per week from Mid April through to mid October. (Since the majority of our events takes place on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays).

We are based in a rural location, about 9 miles east of Canterbury - there is no public transport so you do need use of a car. We are based on a farm, where there are chickens, peacocks, horses, sheep and doggies, so someone who is at home in this environment is important.
