Profit Improvement Analyst

Primary role is to assemble, sort and decipher information into database queries or data fields for analysis; to determine incremental profit opportunities across Inventory Management activities. Create specifications for the Margin Enhancement Systems Support to create robust systems and reports to facilitate incremental profit improvement systems.
The position will chair ad hoc development and research to ensure timely and accurate availability of all informational needs to support the business process of the Inventory Management Departments including interfaces with Inventory Management TSMs pointing out opportunities and benefits.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Analysis of EU product data to deliver incremental profit initiatives
· Develops robust EU data systems to drive incremental profit, data analysis and reporting efficiency
· Working with the Margin Enhancement Systems Support to create EU data driven systems/web applications to drive profitability and innovation. Support the EU tendering system and activity when required
· Develops EU reports from raw data from multiple sources and compiles same into meaningful and accurate working documents for IM teams and IM VP
· Liaise with international counterparts to create harmonised efficient reporting structures and systems
· Works closely with Margin Enhancement Systems Support to ensure proper planning and information updates are given to Senior Management
· Develops internal tracking reports to allow timely report progress
· Provide leadership within project management whilst delivering best practices
· Create strong links with IT team to ensure compliance and transparency
· Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required and assigned
This position will be working in an office environment, utilising typical office equipment. The majority of the work will be performed utilising computers.
SKILLS
· 3-5 years of hands on daily PC usage of Outlook, Microsoft Office products including Access, Excel and Word with emphasis on information gathering, analysis and report creation
· Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Access, Excel, Word and Office
· Working knowledge of AS400 file structure and layout
· Advanced knowledge and application of VBA
· Advanced knowledge of SQL and Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
· Advanced analysis and statistical analysis knowledge
· Working knowledge and application of data warehousing and business intelligence
· Strong communication skills
· Strong analytical skills
· Ability to prioritise and handle multiple projects and daily tasks
EDUCATION
· Degree standard of education with heavy emphasis on PC skills, or the equivalent knowledge required
· European Language skills an advantage
