Software Developer

Barker Munro is working with an exciting Insurance organisation in West Kent who is currently looking to expand their software development team with the acquisition of a Software Developer.

As the Software developer you will take an active role in the design, development, maintenance and support of the core functionality and associated products for the claims systems.

You will work on a range of customised applications and work as part of the team in providing general ICT support and development. You will be responsible for all parts of the development lifecycle, including design, development and testing. Responsibilities include maintaining existing case management applications, designing new workflows and providing first line support.

The successful candidate should be a creative thinker and problem-solver with excellent knowledge and awareness of the full project lifecycle. When it comes to software and IT knowledge; any exposure to the following would be advantageous:

• TFS/VSTS
• VisualFiles development and Support
• Development of customer-facing web applications
• Mobile web/application development
• Insurance claims processing
• Analysis and technical design

Knowledge or exposure in other languages and programs such as C#, ASP.NET MVC 5, Visual Studio 2017, HTML, JavaScript (JQuery and Vanilla JS), SQL Server…..to name a few.

You will be eager to expand your development skills and be willing to take on and provide end-support for their own projects as the business grows.
