Principal Business Analyst

Location: Chatham or London

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our technology and change team as a Business Analyst where you will utilise a software delivery background providing technical solutions across a variety of different project streams. Working in an agile environment you will be responsible for providing technical delivery for a range of prototypes. Working within this team you will work closely with wider product teams to ensure business requirements are delivered to an exceptional standard. Utilising your business knowledge across initial scoping, requirements analysis, solution design through to test and deployment.

Key Skills:
• 5-10 years’ experience working as a BA or similar analytical / consultant role.
• Proven track record in driving and delivering business benefit changes.
• Experience of working in both waterfall and Agile delivery methodologies.
• Experience of working alongside a Product Team as a BA and Just In Time analysis.
• Experience of working on large complex IT and Regulatory projects.
• Experience and / or knowledge of the function of Product Teams within a business.
• Analytical experience in extracting and interpreting data into statistical information and presenting to business users.
• Advance knowledge in following Microsoft tools – Microsoft Excel, Visio, PowerPoint
• Able to demonstrate experience of working with autonomy within strict deadlines.
• Awareness of Banking and card issuing, preferably with some general knowledge of the various elements and suppliers is desirable

Responsibilities include:
• Act as domain expert and / or SME for assigned Product or Project.
• Constantly building and expanding your domain knowledge and sharing this with others.
• Comply with the organisations Information Security Policy, and all subordinate policies and local procedures.
• Protect the organisation assets in line with the requirements set out in the Acceptable Use Policy.
• Embraces and drives a continuous learning culture where the development of new skills and knowledge is paramount to the success of their role and career.
• Commits to involvement in regular performance and development conversations with their line manager and embraces a culture of in-time feedback and coaching.
• Identifying and analysing requirements from stakeholders from other business areas or Product Teams.
• Analysis of new and existing systems and processes to support impact assessment and provide technical detail for new developments.
• Contribute towards refinement of requirements, support testing and work alongside the technical team(s) to identify and plan out the appropriate solution(s).
