We are currently working with a local, well-established firm of Chartered Accountants whose base consists of SME's across Kent and Sussex.

Due to growth, they are currently seeking a Practice Accountant to report directly to their Director.

Responsibilities of the Practice Accountant will include:

*Managing a portfolio of clients
*Effective and proactive communication with clients including review meetings
*Overseeing Accounts Production process for practice
*Overseeing and sharing with Senior Managers the Self Assessment Tax Return Production process for the practice
*Review of draft accounts/tax returns/VAT returns/P11D's
*Provide accounts and tax support for general practice work as required
*Dealing with accountancy and tax-related queries raised by clients
*Achievement of all relevant HMRC and Companies House filing deadlines
*Achievement of internal reporting deadlines
*Company secretarial matters
*Preparation of End of Year Employer Returns P11D

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

*Previous experience working in a Practice environment at a Senior level
*ACCA, ACA or FCCA qualifications would be preferable or qualified by experience
*Be able to work autonomously and manage your own workload
*The ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
*Excellent communication skills at all levels, both face to face and over the phone
*Good working knowledge of Online Accounts software packages used by practice (CCH Wolters Kluwer), ClearBooks, Xero, Freeagent etc.)
