Underwriting Product Associate

Barker Munro, the insurance recruitment specialists, are currently working with a leading name in the UK insurance market who are recruiting for an underwriting product associate to support the development and compliance of product lines.

As the underwriting product associate you will be responsible for ensuring products and services are all well aligned to governance rules and reviewing product lines and wordings. You will assist with developing, documenting and maintaining formal product governance process suitable for the department ensuring that up to date product governance processes are followed by the department. You will be responsible for drafting and maintaining policy wordings and ensuring that an effective system is in place for maintaining control over policy specifications, policy wordings and all other documents used in the development of products and relationships with clients. The underwriting product associate will also meet regularly with the compliance and governance departments in other areas of the business to ensure a streamlined process is followed by all.

Do you think you have what it takes to carry out this role? Well, our client is looking for someone who has possibly been underwriting in general insurance, but who has an eye for detail and is interested in the more control and compliance element of underwriting. Ideally you will have had some kind of exposure to compliance or at least regulatory frameworks within an insurance business.
