Do you have knowledge and empathy with the issues surrounding widening participation and inclusiveness in Higher Education? Are you a diplomatic facilitator with the ability to convince both internal staff and external partners to engage?

If your answers are ‘yes’ then please read on, as an opportunity has arisen to join our busy Partnership Development Office as Outreach Activities Co-ordinator on a full time, fixed term basis for 1 year.

You will work autonomously, guiding and encouraging school staff to participate in activity pathways that align to the school’s objectives and fit within the project’s curriculum framework.

As Outreach Activities Co-ordinator you will:

contribute to the development and delivery of NCOP
develop and maintain strong links with FE colleges, secondary schools and community groups across Kent and Medway
support the recruitment and training of student ambassadors
travel extensively around Kent and Medway in order to lead a range of sessions and events in collaboration with the wider NCOP team

To be successful in this role you will have:

a first degree or equivalent
a teaching/training qualification, or equivalent experience
experience of working with schools and with young people, especially those from under-representative social groups from low-income backgrounds
demonstrable experience of working in an administrative role

The Partnership Development Office is responsible for supporting the implementation of the University’s widening participation strategy and for developing partnerships in the region, with a particular focus on sub-regional partnerships, in support of this strategy. The Partnership Development Office is part of the Enrolment Management Services (EMS) comprising the Recruitment and Admissions Office, the Publishing Office and the Scholarships and Foreign Loans Office
