Leeds Castle are currently looking for additional Retail Assistants, to assist the Retail team between now and the end of December 2019.
This role will be on a zero hour contract and you will need to give 4 days availability each week which should include weekend availability.
You will specifically need to be available to work the Christmas Market on the following weekends:
23rd/24th November; 30th November & 1st December; 7th/8th December; 14th/15th December
The main purpose of the role will be :
To maximise sales within the business providing a professional, helpful and friendly customer service.

KEY TASKS
To maintain a consistently high standard of customer care, merchandise presentation and housekeeping.
To co-ordinate and promote merchandise with accessories wherever possible to maximise sales to customers.
To be aware of the benefits, features and qualities of merchandise in the shops and ensure such information is accurately conveyed to the customer.
To communicate to the Management Team any customer requests for merchandise not currently available in the shop.
To communicate to the Management Team information concerning fast/slow moving items, plus any shortage of merchandise.
To carry out all point of sale transactions correctly and efficiently following company procedures.
To be responsible for dealing with exchanges, refunds, discounts and mark downs when required.
To be responsible for cashing up at the close of business, when required.
To be aware of new merchandise within the shop, and to be able to advise customers of new merchandise.
To ensure that all stock is stored correctly and handled appropriately to maximise turnover and minimise wastage.
To ensure the highest standards of customer care at all times, including after sales service.
To carry out additional duties as required by the management team.
To work closely with other retail assistants and supervisors as part of the overall retail team.
Previous customer service experience desirable although not essential.
