We are looking for Lecturers to join our existing vibrant and motivated team, delivering a range of animal management subjects to Further Education students at our Mottingham Campus.

The successful candidates will need an excellent knowledge of animal husbandry (feeding, accommodation and behaviour) as well as other animal management topics e.g. wildlife, science and habitat management. Some teaching experience in a classroom setting helping prepare students for exams would also be welcomed. A keen interest in making learning accessible to all and creating engaging practical lessons is essential, as is a level 6 qualification in an animal related subject.

In addition to the minimum requirements detailed above, candidates will also need a teaching qualification or the willingness to work towards one. Support is given to those who wish to train and as they work for the qualification, staff will receive a bonus of £600.00 in the third year and £750.00 in their fourth year, providing they have successfully gained their full teaching qualification at Hadlow College.

Applicants must show proof of a minimum Level 2 or equivalent in maths and English. Excellent communication, team work and IT skills are a must. Qualifications Certificates in Assessing Vocational Achievement and A1/A2 (or D32 and D33) would also be advantageous.

As well as a contributory pension scheme and free car parking, this post also attract 42 days holiday each year (excluding bank holidays).

The successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check and to provide proof of their right to work in the UK. Where applicable, a prohibition check will be carried out.
