Insurance Administrator
Barker Munro recruitment, a Maidstone based specialist recruitment business, is working with an employer of choice in the Maidstone region, that is currently looking to add an Insurance Administrator to their busy underwriting department.
The insurance administrator provides specialist support to the underwriting business centre, on both administrative duties and business decisions. You will be working within a friendly and professional team, within a large modern office in comfortable surroundings, assisting in the provision of outstanding levels of administrator services.
In essence, you could be handling simple finance instructions such as setting up direct debit mandates but equally you could be compiling and updating management information. You will be required to process policy records and deal with associated administration records that are non-technical and don't require an insurance background. As the Insurance administrator, you will be updating the system with information, handling any basic enquiries, completing administrative tasks to a high standard, but ultimately excelling in delivering outstanding levels of customer care (working to the principles of Treating Customers Fairly, or as you would wish to be treated) and generally assisting with the smooth administration of the work.
We are searching for applicants who have previously worked within a customer service or administration role and who can deliver and demonstrate a strong ability to plan well and organise your day well, as in busy periods you will have a lot of things to juggle! Any insurance experience will be an advantage of course, but it isn't essential!
As the Insurance Administrator, we are looking for you to be able to show planning and organisational skills and the ability to work to deadlines whilst being able to follow procedural requirements and escalate queries as and when it is sensible to do so. Experience with Microsoft Office suite of programs would be good.
This is a full time position, permanent position
