Job Title: Painter & Decorator
Contracted Hours: 12 Months Fixed Term contract
Shift pattern: 37.5 hours ( Monday to Friday)
Salary: £19,000 per annum
Location: Queen Elizabeth Queen Mother Hospital, Margate

What does the role look like?


Your role is to ensure the delivery of all external and internal painting and decorating throughout the site, including residences. You will be required to lead on devising a re-decoration programme and liaising with departments to ensure the programme remains on schedule.


Your duties will include:

To work in accordance with H&S Regulations (COSHH, Working at Heights, method statements etc), ensuring areas remain operational wherever possible.

Actively participate in the operation of the Technical Solutions CAFM system, including identifying own jobs as being in progress, closing down jobs adding comments plus time taken and notifying Team Leader of work that cannot be completed due to shortage of parts etc. Therefore must be confident with technology.

Control of potentially dangerous substances, ensuring safe storage when operative is away from the work area.

Undertakes minor repair works and general maintenance activities such as prepping and making good areas of work.

Do I need experience?


As the successful candidate, you will demonstrate;

Knowledge of painting and decorating in a commercial environment.
Awareness of asbestos and COSHH.
Capable of working in a demand driven service with a solution-based approach
5 GCSEs at Grade C or above including English, Maths and Science
