The role will develop key enhancements to student record systems to enable Kent and Medway Medical School (KMMS) student administration within existing systems. As a member of the team, you will have the opportunity to become a subject matter expert in relevant business areas and systems, as well as benefit from industry training opportunities.

This role is well suited to you if you have development experience from some of: database applications development (preferably in Ingres or Transact SQL), web development (including PHP, JavaScript, and CSS), integrations and reports (SSIS and SSRS).

As Analyst Programmer (KMMS) you will:

- excellent communication skills with an ability to build relationships and document work on both a technical level and for user consumption

You will be based in the University of Kent Information Services department, working closely with the KMMS project team responsible for analysing and understanding requirements, then developing and implementing IT services to support the School.

Our vision for KMMS is to create a new medical school for Kent and Medway that becomes a beacon for first-class medical education and research. The School will attract the most talented aspiring doctors from within the local community and beyond, offering training and development opportunities that will help to keep that talent in Kent and Medway. Lead by its Founding Dean, Professor Chris Holland, the School will open in September 2020, offering 100 undergraduate medical places on a yearly basis.
