Stationers’ Crown Woods Academy is now accepting applications for Learning Support Assistants who will join us for the new academic year starting September 2019. Our successful candidates will work with students who have additional needs, supporting them to access learning and engage in a range of enrichment activities. Our LSAs work with teaching staff across the academy to ensure that students have the right support and resources available, so you will be preparing specialist materials and working directly with class teachers. You will also be providing pastoral support to students, helping to build their resilience and confidence.

The Inclusion Department works collaboratively across the academy to ensure that all pupils are able to access and enjoy all aspects of academy life. This role will suit new or experienced LSAs, or candidates who would like to be involved in teaching in the future as this opportunity will provide you with first hand exposure and experience. Leigh Academies Trust are partners of Kent & Medway Training and are now recruiting trainees teachers for September 2020.

This opportunity is offered on a one-year fixed term basis in the first instance with every intention to extend or make permanent.

The campus incorporates nine buildings which include four home schools each serving 450 pupils and students, a Design, Technology and Creative and Performing Arts School, a Sport & Community Education Centre and an Inclusions Hub. Stationers’ Crown Woods Academy is delighted to be part of Leigh Academies Trust who, with the Stationers’ Company and Ravensbourne, will enable the new Stationers’ Crown Woods Academy to enhance our provision and develop a Digital Curriculum fit for the future.

Our objective is to be a flagship academy where every pupil not only achieves their full potential but also feels an integral part of the organisation. An academy where no child feels lost and no child is left behind. An academy where the bonds between parent, teacher and child are so secure that failure is not an option. The unique community that we have built ensures that young people achieve their ambition in a caring environment where they are the centre of all that we do.
