Infrastructure Engineer - MCSE, CCNA, Storage - Sittingbourne, Kent - £45,000 plus benefits



My client has an excellent opportunity for a senior level Infrastructure Engineer to join their team based in Sittingbourne.

They are looking for an individual who can provide a wide variety of Infrastructure duties which covers end to end projects installs on brown field and green field sites, troubleshooting, maintenance and builds using MS Servers 2008 to 2016 and Cisco and Juniper hardware. They are also looking for someone with a strong background in virtualisation covering either VMware or Hyper-V at an advanced level, storage experience such as administration of Sans, Raid sets and Fibre channels.

Daily duties

* Work with the companies clients to deliver infrastructure projects to a defined scope, quality and timescales
* Clarify system specifications across multiple environments
* Working at multiple customer sites, liaising with staff at all levels and 3rd parties
* Management of stakeholders at senior level
* Designing, testing, installing and monitoring systems
* Preparing documentation and presenting progress reports to customers following implementation

Skills Required

The client is looking for someone with a strong skillset with the below;

* Microsoft Server 2008 to 2016
* Virtualisation using Hyper-V or VMware
* Strong network experience using Juniper or Cisco - Test at interview
* Layer 3 switch configuration using HP or Dell hardware
* Firewall configuration and troubleshooting
* TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and VPN
* MCSE level covering Wintel - Test at interview
* Exchange Server and Office 365
* Active Directory, DFS, Security, GPO
* Storage including SAN, NAS, SCSI, iSCSI and Fibre Channel
* Proven background with project delivery
* Well presented and excellent communication skills
* Own transport will also be required
