The Office of the Kent Police and Crime Commissioner is seeking a highly organised, self-motivated individual to provide support to the Office and senior management team, and especially managing the PCC’s programme of meetings.

You will attend the PCC’s meetings, both internal and with partners, and provide accurate minutes to be circulated to attendees, as well as making a record of all the actions and ensuring that these are achieved.

You will also be expected to manage, in conjunction with both senior staff and the administrative support team, the annual programme of meetings, and will also be involved in the recruitment and selection of committee members where appropriate.

In addition, this role will provide support to the Office as a whole, both handling enquiries from members of the public, and also to members of the senior management team

To succeed in this role, you must be pro-active, extremely well-organised and have the ability to manage the competing demands of a busy office. The ability to meet strict deadlines, often under pressure, is vital.

You will need to be a confident individual who possess excellent communication skills, and can calmly deal with enquiries from Chief Executives and members of the public alike. You will have experience of working in a fast-paced Office or in public facing role, and will have very high standard of written English, allowing you to draft accurate minutes for publication.
