Job Information

Due to a large increase in business The Black Horse Inn is looking to recruit another housekeeper to join our friendly team with immediate effect. The hours will be roughly 20 per week (dependent on room bookings) and spread over 3-4 days these will include Saturday and Sunday's. The start times for each day are from 10am. More hours can be offered during holiday cover and busier periods if wanted/needed.

The Black Horse Inn has 35 bed and breakfast rooms located within annexes in our 2 acre grounds and we strive maintain exceptional standards in room cleanliness and maintenance, therefore potential applicants must have attention to detail and be able to work effectively and efficiently on their own as well as part of a successful team. We consistently receive 5/5 in reviews for our cleanliness so maintaining the same standards is essential. Due to our rural location own transport is essential as is flexibility to cover at short notice in busy periods. The rate of pay is £7.50 per hour for those over 21 with each member of staff receiving a share of the weekly gratuities based on their shift pattern. We also offer 5.5 weeks (pro-rata) paid holiday per year. Previous experience is not essential as full training will be given, but an eye for detail and pride in your work is key.
