Special Needs Teaching Assistant (SEND TA)

Salary: £60.00 - £90.00 p/day
A Special Needs Teaching Assistant job can be one of the most rewarding in the education sector. In this role you will work with a small group of SEND students with varying and complex needs. You will support them in mainstream classrooms to access and complete school work. You will ensure that your advice and support is bespoke to the student and their needs taken careful consideration to their special needs.
To be considered for these roles you will need experience working with students of secondary school age. You could be a TA, LSA, Cover Supervisor, Youth Support Worker, SEND specialist or have experience in a pupil referral unit.
I am working with a school in Thanet to recruit a special needs TA to start immediately and provide cover until the end of the school year. A role may be available in September.
In order to succeed in this role you will be able to demonstrate:
Ability to work with groups of students of secondary age
Good working knowledge if SEND
Ability to follow policies including behaviour management and rewards
Flexibility in approach to classroom delivery and learning material
Willingness to embrace new technologies in the classroom
