Head Chef
Based in Hythe
£32,000 Per Annum
Do you have previous experience as a Head Chef?
Have you previously worked in a hotel or events background?
Are you highly motivated about food production & have excellent presentation skills?
If so, we have fantastic opportunity for a Head Chef to join an internationally renowned animal conservation charity that is committed to the breeding, reintroduction and protection of rare and endangered species.
With great remuneration on offer; of £32K per annum plus an annual bonus, you will be working 45 hours, 5 days a week on a permanent basis.
As a Head Chef, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the restaurant kitchen, catering for hotel guests as well as large functions and events throughout the year.
Due to the location of this role, applicants who hold a full driving licence and have access to their own car is an advantage.
As the Head Chef you willâ¦
* Manage the running of the overall kitchen operation including monitoring standards, stock rotation and general efficiency
* Maintain consistent food standards and quality across all areas and during all stages of production and supply
* Prepare dishes to the highest quality and standards
* Actively participate in the ongoing management and development of menus
* Be responsible for the kitchen operation, rostering and supervision of staff
* Control costs without compromising standards, improving gross profit margins and other departmental and financial targets
* Manage food purchasing and storage whilst reducing wastage
* Comply with all relevant Health & Safety and Food Safety Standards
* Report maintenance, hygiene and hazard issues
* Maintaining a safe and hygienic kitchen environment
