Trevor Downing Financial Management (IFA) Ltd. is an Independent Financial Advisory business based in Westerham, we share a close working partnership with the Trevor Downing Practice Ltd, which is a Chartered Financial Planning Practice and a Principal Partner Practice of St James’s Place Wealth Management. We maintain professional relationships with specialist Legal & Tax advisors. This means that we are able to provide our clients with a full range of specialist financial planning expertise, we work with individual clients, Limited Companies and Partnerships to provide bespoke advice on employee benefits, individual pensions, investments and tax-planning issues. The business as a whole offers a fully holistic financial planning service to our clients.
The Role
You will work closely our team of Advisers & Mortgage specialists and be responsible for following through all aspects of the advice process for our clients. This will include formulating client reports, following up on mortgage protection introductions, researching client’s financial arrangements and managing pension contribution processes for corporate clients. You will be expected to discuss technical advice solutions with the Advisers in the business. A back ground in providing advice and paraplanning support is essential.
The role has responsibility for the following areas:
- Maintain high standards of documentation and communication with to all clients - Gathering, recording and managing client data - Build and maintain client relationships - Delegate and communicate clearly with team members and colleagues - Operate within the FCA compliance and corporate standards of the business
The Person
You will ideally be at Chartered status, you will have already achieved the Diploma in Financial Advice (Level 4), you will be highly driven to succeed and have a great track record within a Financial Services Company, in an advisory or business support role.
You will be ready to take on a new challenge and play a prominent role in the business. With an eye for detail, you will be able to put in place operational improvement. You will have experience in writing Suitability letters and Client reports and have a good knowledge of FCA regulations and legislation with regards to financial services. You will be competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications, Adviser Office and electronic data systems. This role can develop into a full-time Financial Advisor position within the business for the right person and presents and excellent opportunity for someone to make the step to a successful career in a Financial Advisory business.
