We are looking for an experienced Assistant Shop Manager to join our Rainham Furniture shop team on a part time basis, to assume full responsibility for all aspects of the shop in the absence of the Shop Manager and provide support and leadership to the volunteers.

You will have experience of working in a customer facing environment with a previous track record of working to, and achieving sales and profit targets. You will need to demonstrate your understanding of furniture retail and your understanding of the commercial environment.

You will have the ability to adapt to a changing workload, using your own initiative and effectively manage your time. The role involves working alongside and assisting in the management and development of a team of dedicated volunteers; you will have the skills to prioritise workload and provide guidance and training.

You will be able to demonstrate good verbal and written skills and have the ability to undertake computer work. This role will require moving and handling and will also require flexible working across the 7 day trading week. A valid driving licence and willingness to drive a Luton van would be beneficial.
