Pastry Chef
Salary: £28,000
Hours: 45 hours per week, varying shifts covering Monday to Sunday
Location: Tunbridge Wells
The Company:
A prestigious, boutique establishment in Central Tunbridge Wells is looking for a Pastry Chef to join their friendly and hardworking team. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in culinary arts with a passion for sweet and delicious creations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the kitchen team in managing the preparation and production of a high-quality pastry dishes to the restaurants as well as banqueting service for function customers
* Assist the Senior Chefs with creating new and exciting pastries
* Maintain a clean and orderly station whilst adhering to health and safety standards
Qualifications:
* Hospitality and Catering NVQ Level 1 & 2 or equivalent qualification
* Food Hygiene Certificate
Experience/Skills:
* Proven experience as a Pastry Chef/Baker or relevant role
* Knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation, baking techniques, nutrition and intolerances
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Great attention to detail and creativity
* Ability to work effectively under pressure
* Training and supervising experience (desired not essential)
