WHO ARE WE

Solirius Consulting, founded in 2007, delivers technical consultancy and application delivery.

Our focus is on having a sound understanding of technology, how to implement it, and critically, how to bring this knowledge to bear to solve real world problems for our clients.

We specialise in developing and advising on large systems which integrate with complex environments and business processes.

We have over 200 consultants and software developers, and are growing fast. We are based in Central London, and routinely take on projects across the UK and beyond. We operate as a flat organisation, and believe in trusting and supporting all of our team to operate independently, making the most of their expertise in their field. We believe in giving everyone an opportunity to continually learn and grow in the direction they choose, and we actively help and support people to shape the career that they wish to have.

WHO ARE YOU

The ideal candidate is conscientious, client-focused, reliable, self-motivated and able to work without close supervision. You are a technically proficient application developer with impressive analytical and communication skills; you are comfortable with talking to clients and enjoy the variety of working on different projects.

You enjoy being involved in the wider development community and will relish playing a pivotal role in helping to shape their culture and in embedding quality and best practices throughout the development process. You’ll be sharing your knowledge of tools and techniques within the team and leading discussion about how and where to use them. You’ll also have experience of mentoring junior developers, helping them adopt new approaches to problem-solving and encouraging areas for growth and improvement within the team.
Ideally you will have two years plus current experience in a similar role.

TECHNICAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Back end development (e.g. Java 8, Node.JS, JMS and ActiveMQ)
Modern software engineering practices
Comfortable working in an agile environment
Springboot experience is a plus
Testing tools and methodology (TDD and Capybara / Selenium, JUnit or TestNG)
Strong analytical, written communication and presentation skills are extremely important to this role, including the ability to communicate and engage with stakeholders and colleagues at all levels.

PACKAGE AND BENEFITS

Competitive salary, dependent on experience
Discretionary bonus
25 Days holiday
Contributory pension
Gym Membership
Option to work from home one day a week
Annual Away days
Bi weekly company socials
On going training
