Job Description:
Our ideal Data Cabling Engineer will have the experience of the following:
• CNCI qualified is a preference
• The main responsibilities will be to install, terminate and test cat5e, cat6, cat6a and cat7 data cable
• Installation of all types of containment
• Fibre installation, termination & testing.
Qualifications and Attributes/Experience:
• Manufacturer installation accreditations
• Valid ECS/CSCS Card
• Ability to meet targets without compromising quality or safety standards
• Will be organised and able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
• Accuracy and attention to detail at all times
• Excellent communications skills used to build a rapport with people at all levels
• Will present a positive company image
• Will provide a timely, polite and efficient service
• A good team worker who can work equally effectively on own initiative
• Able to work with schedules and diagrams
• Qualified to use various test equipment for the telecoms sector
• The role will be to install and terminate copper cables into commercial properties. This will include both 1st and 2nd fix. This Role will involve a lot of travel over the UK. Majority of work in London
• Engineers will need to have experience in all areas of the trade including Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, Cat7, Voice and fibre optics. Testing using Fluke DTX-1800 & DSX-5000, High Level cabling, under floor cabling. trunking and containment.
