Care Service Manager – South Kent Coast

We have a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced people manager to join the team of our well-established home care company as a Care Service Manager.

Beech Tree Total Care has been awarded a new Kent County Council contract which means we are expanding our already well-established care services into the Shepway and South Kent Coast area.

The main responsibilities will be :

*assisting with building the team who will work in this area, including interviewing and selection of new staff
*ensuring there is sufficient cover to deliver care and support services on time
*monitoring the allocation of carers to maximise efficiency of available resources
*acting as the key point of contact when accepting, allocating and processing new referrals for care and support
*producing detailed care and support plans and to ensure these are reviewed on a regular basis and updated accordingly
taking part in the out of hours emergency on-call rota.
*working closely with other office-based colleagues to maintain up-to-date electronic and handwritten records
*working with the Care team and other health and social care professionals to deliver high quality home care services and to make
improvements where necessary
*working closely with the Senior Management Team and Directors to help find a suitable new office within the South Kent Coast area

The successful candidate will possess drive and enthusiasm and passion for delivering a quality care service to meet the needs of our clients and the growth of the business. We anticipate that this role will be very “hands-on” in the first instance and so previous experience of working within the health and social care industry and delivery of front-line care and support is essential.

We will need you to be extremely flexible and adaptable (especially while we build the service) and so the ability to think laterally and on your feet, juggle priorities, take a ‘can do’ approach to your work together with excellent people management, communications and computer/IT skills will be required.

You must have the right to work in the UK and hold a full driving licence and have use of a car to travel as part of your role.

You will be required to undergo a full Disclosure and Barring Service process for this role
