What do we do?

East Kent Housing is part of a growing sector which aims to make sure that everyone has a secure home they can afford. We manage over 17,000 properties for the four councils of East Kent (Canterbury, Dover, Folkestone & Hythe, and Thanet). We are responsible for the inspection, repair and maintenance of residents’ homes, the collection of charges and rent, and we support our residents by providing advice services and responding to enquiries and issues affecting them and the communities that we serve. Our people work in both customer-facing and business support roles as part of a large not-for-profit organisation focused on making a difference in the community and to peoples’ lives.

Current Vacancies

We are looking for people with a background in Housing and/or Property Management who can demonstrate customer awareness and the ability to inspire and lead teams, combined with a genuine passion for making a difference. We have three key vacancies in our Property Services team:

We are looking for a senior, qualified manager to lead our Compliance & Maintenance team. In this role you will have strategic oversight of the Maintenance, Repairs and Servicing functions of the Directorate, along with leading the Estates function. You will be focussed on delivery high quality services resulting in customer satisfaction.

● Compliance Inspector £33.8k - £38.9k

Are you a building professional with experience of compliance regimes for mechanical/electrical equipment and plant for properties and blocks of flats? In this role you will ensure we fulfil our obligations to our Client Councils and residents by delivering compliance and servicing programmes to the required cost, quality and time parameters.

● Projects Manager £33.8k - £38.9k

Are you a capable professional who understands property and can successfully manage contractors, projects and tasks to deliver project outcomes? In this role you will provide robust contract management to ensure we fulfil our contractual obligations to our Client Councils and residents by delivering investment programmes to the prescribed quality, time and budget parameters.
