SEN Teaching Assistant Roles - Maidstone, Kent and Surrounding Areas

Support Staff is currently one of the fastest growing sectors in Education, so if you are passionate about education and looking to make a real difference to children’s learning, Supply Desk may have an opportunity for you. Supply Desk is working with a range of Independent, Mainstream and Specialist Education settings in Maidstone and surrounding areas. Roles can range from daily, short and long term for the right candidates. This is a good opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience if you are thinking of a career in teaching.

The Ideal Candidate will have:


-Experience in supporting a classroom teacher in a UK education environment (Desirable but not essential)
-Experience of working in small groups or on a 1-1 basis with children with Additional Needs under the instruction of the classroom teacher
-Empathy, patience and motivation to encourage and support children to reach their full potential and to become independent learners
-An excellent knowledge of different learning styles and how to utilise and engage children across a range of abilities
-Good behaviour management skills
-Experience of working within an SEN setting is desirable but not essential
