My client, who is very successful in their field currently has an excellent opportunity for a customer focused hands on IT Support Engineer to provide day to day 1st and 2nd line support, assisting with IT change projects, hardware and software upgrades.
Daily duties
* Providing 1st and 2nd line support on site ensuring minimal downtime
* Desktop support - 1st & 2nd line for installations
* Software support - Installation and license management
* Performing system checks and monitoring tasks
* Administration of Active Directory
Skills required
* Proven experience providing face to face IT support from junior level up to senior management
* Able to explain and resolve complex technical issues clearly to non technical users
* Excellent customer service skills
* ITIL Foundation is desirable
* Strong technical skills with the following;
* PC & Server hardware
* AD User management
* LAN, WAN & VLAN
* MS Exchange
* Active Directory experience
* VPNs
* Strong MS Office skills with Word, Excel and PowerPoint
