After successfully opening another eight letting rooms at The Black Horse Inn, taking us to 35, with a 100-seat restaurant, we are now looking to recruit an enthusiastic and bubbly bar person to join our team.
Previous bar knowledge would be an advantage, but full training will be given. We are looking for someone that has the personality and confidence to converse with locals and tourists alike, building rapport and ensuring great customer relations. We can offer a variety of shifts including lunchtimes, evenings and weekends with a minimum of 25 hours per week plus additional hours when needed over the busy months. Cellar and beer keeping knowledge would be advantageous, along with a love of good food and fine wines.
The main purpose of the job role is to be the face of our pub and restaurant from the moment our guests walk through the door, making them feel welcome, at ease and relaxed. The ability to converse with all members of the public is an absolute must as well as service with a smile. In return we offer an above average rate of pay dependant on age and experience, share of gratuities, pension if applicable and 5.7 weeks annual leave per year.
