Works Engineer.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Works Engineer on behalf of my client who specialise in the supply of quality machine tools.

Typical tools include;

o CNC, Electronic and Conventional lathes
o CNC and Conventional milling machines
o Conventional, PLC and CNC grinding machines. However, most CNC / PLC are shipped direct to customers
o Sawing machines
o Drilling machines
o And general workshop machine tools

The successful candidate will be able demonstrate the following skills;

- The ability to provide technical support as and when required on incoming service calls.
- Inspect, test and report on the condition of used metal cutting machine tools including reporting on additional parts required.
- Provide support as and when required on the demonstration of new and used Conventional and CNC metal cutting machine tools.
- Be conversant in ISO programming and familiar with leading CNC controls including FANUC, HEIDENHAIN, HAAS, SIEMENS and other controls.
- Be conversant and have an understanding of PLC controls.
- Familiar understanding with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Outlook and Excel.

Basic Salary: £32,900.00 per annum payable monthly plus overtime

Hours: 39.5 hour working week

A Works Engineer will be entitled to 20 days annual leave. Please note, you need to retain 3 days for the extended Christmas shut-down period.
