Warehouse Operative/Forklift Driver

Requirements:

• Current certificates to drive Counterbalance / Reach truck
• Pivot Steer licence an advantage.
• Previous warehousing experience.

Description:

Working under the day to day control of the Supervisors and Operations Manager. We are looking for a conscientious and industrious Warehouse man/Fork truck driver, who will complete day to day tasks including driving of forklifts and warehouse tasks as and when required. The role may also involve manual handling tasks and working in other areas as required.

Role and Responsibilities:

Day to day tasks including but not limited to:

• Ensure orders are correct product and count.
• Ensure each pallet is secure for transit and labelled correctly.
• Load/unload vehicles using forklifts.
• Move stock/goods using forklift in warehouses.
• Complete delivery/goods in notes.
• Booking of stock and location movements using computerised system
• Ensure stock rotation.
• Keep warehouses and surrounding grounds clean and tidy.
• Ensures Health and Safety guidelines are adhered to.
• Working to required quality standards.

The candidate should be:

• Self-Motivated and disciplined.
• Have excellent communication skills (able to communicate well both written and verbally).
• Physically fit (Must be able to lift and move boxes of up to 20Kg.)

This is a permanent position:

45 hour a week based on an annualised hours contract.
25 Days holiday plus the equivalent of 8 bank holidays.
Company pension scheme.
Death in service benefit.

Pay £9.00 to £9.50 per hour depending on candidate and experience.
