Job Title: Head of Hospice Day Service / Day Service Manager
Salary: £35,896 Full time (37.5 hrs per week) Part Time considered.
Can you lead a Day Centre to help and empower people to live well?
Key responsibilities:
Hospice in the Weald is about celebrating life and dignifying death. Our day centre (Hospice Day Service) is focused on the wellbeing of those that attend and has a very committed team of staff and volunteers.
This role will give you an opportunity to make a real difference to patients, families and carers and the chance to offer a truly holistic approach to care.
We offer music therapy, creative arts, wellbeing therapies and many other activities to support and engage our patients and their families. We are looking for someone familiar with health and/or social care to ensure the highest possible standards of care. We are a progressive organisation that is growing all the time and you will be part of new Service developments and help promote integration and collaboration in the delivery of care across all clinical services so that our patients, families and carers experience a seamless, high quality service.
You will play a key role in operational business planning and objective setting for the Hospice Day Service which includes Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy, as well as encouraging a culture of evidence-based practice within these services.
Ideally you will be educated to degree level with a management or leadership qualification or have equivalent management experience. You will also be able to communicate effectively at all levels and have knowledge/understanding of clinical governance and risk management. But crucially, your background is less important than your passion and compassion.
Benefits:
Hospice in the Weald is based in beautiful surroundings and offers a generous pension scheme or the ability to transfer an NHS pension, excellent training and career development opportunities, subsidised restaurant, free parking, generous holiday allowance including the opportunity to buy and sell additional holiday and a cycle to work scheme.
