Automation Tester - Commodities - Contract - (£500-£600 Per Day) - London

Overview:
Our client, a leading global FTSE 100 commodities business are looking for an Automation Tester to join their long term program of work.

Responsibilities
The QA engineer responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
- Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
- Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
- Design, develop and execute automation scripts designed at web service layer or front end using open source tools. (Selenium, Specflow or similar tools.)
- Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs (VS Online/TFS)
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved. Manual testing is going to remain a big portion of the responsibilities of this role.
- Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements

Requirements
The key requirements for this role are as follows:
- Proven work experience in software quality assurance with Commodity Trading applications.
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes (TFS/ VS Online / Git)
- Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Hands-on experience with automated testing tools (Selenium / Specflow / WebServices automation)
- Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting in .Net C#
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum team.

- 6 month initial contract.
