Commercial / personal lines Claims handler

Barker Munro Recruitment, the largest Kent Insurance recruitment agency, has a number of fantastic Claims opportunities for claims handlers to join an expanding insurance organisation in Kent.
As a claims handler, you will manage an allocated claims portfolio, working alongside a team of account handlers, handling all claims through to a satisfactory conclusion dealing with Commercial Property, Liability, Professional indemnity, Business interruption and Commercial Motor cases.
You will act as a primary point for claimants, gathering all relevant claims information and documentation whilst providing claims advice to clients managing expectations and ensuring that they are kept informed and advised of all necessary developments. You will also be involved in actioning
all new claims and report to the relevant insurers within applicable SLA's and KPI's.
To be successful in the role of Claims Handler, you will be an effective communicator with excellent negotiation skills, from within the insurance claims industry.
We have a variety of roles including the rare opportunity to move into Commercial insurance if you have a background in Personal lines Motor/Household claims. Salary will be £20,000 – £23,000 if this will be your first role dealing with Commercial insurance as they will offer you the training required to handle these more complex claims. Alternatively if you have Commercial insurance background and have handled Claims, the salary level will be up to £28,000 per annum.
