My client are seeking a full-time Accounts Assistant to support the Finance team in Sales and Purchase Ledger and Credit Control functions.

Responsibilities and Activities:
* Raising the following in the Finance System Evision.
- New Project details
- Contract Sales Orders
- Application for Payments
- Contract Sales Invoices
- Purchase Orders
- Purchase Invoices and checking their validity against the Purchase Order
- Sundry Sales Invoices
- Credit notes

* Creating new Customers and Vendors in the Finance System
* Running debtor reporting
* Bank reconciliations
* Processing Credit Card expenses and ensuring all relevant receipts have been provided
* Preparing and issuing statements as necessary
* Maintaining credit control operations in collaboration with colleagues as appropriate to ensure swift resolution of any required actions
* Reconciliation of supplier statements
* Running a VAT return
* Running a Supplier payment run
* Respond to time-critical emails and actions from clients or colleagues at a good time
* Ad hoc tasks as directed by the Financial Controller, Group Transactional Manager or CFO to support Finance, HR, and/or Operational staff

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Essential
- A good understanding of Sale Ledger / Purchase Ledger / Credit Control
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel & Teams
- Good organisation, with efficient attention to detail
- Communication skills with both internal colleagues and external suppliers
- Time management with the inclusion of working to tight deadlines.
- Adaptability and flexibility to work within a fast-paced environment.
- Qualified by experience and or qualification higher than secondary education

Desirable
- Understanding of the industry in which the Group operates
- Experience within a Finance department
- Industry experience
