Premier Work Support are pleased to be partnering with a leading distribution business, based in Erith who are recruiting for a permanent Sales Manager

Responsible for building and running an effective sales team. The Manager must lead and deliver a clear strategy for volume and margin growth, whilst supporting the staff to achieve these aims and drive the business forward.

This is to support a team of 6.

Main responsibilities

* Overseeing the activities and performance of the sales team
* Setting and monitoring key performance indicators including volumes, margins, call answering, prospecting and conversion rate.
* Leading by example, calling customers and potential customers and turning these new business opportunities into actual sales
* Developing your sales team through motivation, coaching and assisting with sales and prospecting activities. This must be verbal business interaction during the day to build team spirit and rapport
* Managing on a daily basis, or as required, pricing on industry platforms and company website
* Monitoring the fuel market, working closely with fuel purchasing and looking for additional margin and volume opportunities
* Actively researching marketing and advertising opportunities or products to increase sales. Constructing plans, costings and seeking approval and implementing
* Ensuring there is always an accurate published rota for all sales staff reflecting shifts, holidays and lunches, a minimum 10 working days in advance

To be successful in this role you must have managed a successful sales team, be able to show how you have both hit & exceeded targets. If you have experience within fuels this would be great, however, this is not essential.

Please note due to the location of the business it is essential you have your own transport.

This is a Monday - Friday role with the hours of 9am - 5pm
