Assistant Management Accountant| Aylesford/Hybrid| £30k - £35k

Our client, a successful group of companies are looking to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant on a permanent basis. As Assistant Management Accountant you will ensure the accounting for revenue, materials, overheads and plant costs is well controlled and reported in an accurate, timely and complete manner. This includes all allocations, accruals, prepayments and recharges in these areas.

This role offers Hybrid working with 3 days in the office and 2 from home. You will work a 37.5 hour week.

The purpose of this role is to support the finance function with the following:-
• Revenue accounting
• Materials accounting - this includes stock records and any relevant accruals.
• Fixed asset registers including additions, disposals, depreciation.
• Plant costs including any necessary accruals or prepayments.
• Overheads costs
• To reconcile all relevant balance sheet accounts and ensure all postings are investigated and understood.
• Participate in the budgeting and forecasting processes
• To proactively identify and initiate continual improvements in your method of working to minimise cost and improve service.
• Undertake ad hoc projects as required.

You will be required to have
• Part qualified ACA/CIMA/ACCA or qualified by experience
• Experience in an Assistant Management Accountant covering management accounts preparation, accruals/prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis and fixed assets
• Good Excel skills including pivot tables, vlookups, sumif statements.
• Good organisational skills with the ability to meet fixed deadlines whilst maintaining quality standards.
• The ability to deal with demanding and complex requests.
