Business Analyst | Ashford/Hybrid| £50k - £60k DOE

A highly successful, privately owned services business with ambitious plans for growth, require an experienced Analyst to join their team. This company currently adopt a hybrid working style with 2/3 days based in the office.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will produce and present relevant information on all areas of business performance in order to support decision making. You will be required to leverage and model a variety of business data from multiple systems, interpreting the data into meaningful outputs and presenting recommendations. The role will demand extensive cross-functional collaboration, working with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
Management Information
• Running regular daily, weekly, monthly reports for various departments around the Group.
• Presenting the weekly performance summary to the Senior Management Team.
• Developing and using a knowledge of Microsoft Power BI, SQL and/or other programming languages to assist the various teams within the Group to access relevant and timely Management Information.
• Ensuring reconciliation between MI and Financial reporting.
Analysis
• Developing and maintaining ROI models for marketing activity and for different projects/ideas that are being considered/analysed by the Group.
• Analysing data trends and recommending solutions for increasing revenue and/or reducing costs.
• Developing an in-depth understanding of the core business functions, along with the commercial relationships in place, and identifying opportunities for improvement and optimisation.
• Evaluating internal and external customers’ needs and abilities in order to provide appropriate solutions.
• Maintaining a dedicated BI portal with self-serve capability, to centralise data and reports in order to achieve consistency with visibility and interpretation of data.
• Exploring data and discovering patterns, meaningful links, anomalies and trends.
• Researching business problems and creating models that help to analyse these business problems.

What you will need:
• Recent experience as a Business or Financial Analyst
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Power BI which is the primary system used for analysing and distributing information.
• Proficient in SQL & data modelling.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to deliver to specific deadlines.
• Able to work simultaneously on many projects.
• Self-motivated and enjoys to be challenged.
• A true team player and strong collaboration skills.
