Your new company
The company is a RIBA Chartered architecture practice based in Kent with offices in Canterbury, Tunbridge Wells and Farnham in Surrey. Supported by a growing and experienced team of professional architects and conservation specialists, their projects consist of conversion and alteration of residential properties and are particularly experienced in working with period buildings and buildings in sensitive locations. The company combines the talents of architects, heritage experts, conservation consultants, property specialists, interior designers and structural engineers, all with many years of experience to ensure projects are managed from beginning to end. Your new role
This is a unique and exciting opportunity to open a new arm in the business with really exciting prospects. While surveying the practice's projects, there will also be an opportunity to work with external clients to offer your services. The company will offer a basic salary for this role up to 40k p.a. However, there will be a really exciting opportunity to earn more with performance profit share. This could be a great role for you if you're an experienced Surveyor and have thought about setting up by yourself as you will be working independently with the backing of a successful Architectural Practice. Working knowledge of surveying equipment is needed, you will be able to advise the practice of what tools you will need, and they will go out and get all the necessary equipment for you to do the job. The role is also flexible, the sites are based all around Kent, so you will be required to attend sites but when not on site visits you have the option to work at home or in the office.

What you\'ll need to succeed

* Working knowledge of surveying equipment as well as AutoCAD software.
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word Outlook)
* 3+ years' experience in a surveying role
* Ability and willingness to work flexibly
* A full UK driving licence
* A qualification in Surveying or a relevant qualification that incorporates Surveying
* Working knowledge of Laser Scanners
* Wider knowledge of the surveying industry
* Residential experience
* Experience of processing and survey report writing
