A rare opportunity has arisen within a large engineering organisation to work as a Factory Operative in the Final Inspection Department on a permanent basis.

Working 48 hours per week, Monday - Thursday 06:00 - 16:30 and Friday 06:00 - 14:30, the hourly pay rate is £11.30.

You will be from an engineering background and be responsible for the inspection of products and related documentation prior to delivery to the customer. Ensuring customer specifications and requirements are met.

Your duties will include:

* Performing visual inspection of multiple products ensuring technical specifications are met
* Performing dimensional inspection using a go/no-go gauge and Vernier Caliper
* Understanding and interpretation of technical drawings
* Performing conductivity testing
* Performing ultrasonic testing
* Carrying out minor re-work. e. cosmetic touch up
* Assist the Quality and Technical departments during first article process
* Ensuring adherence to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
* Ensuring Foreign Object Debris (FOD) procedures are adhered to
* Ensure the relevant documentation is completed and logged

You will ideally be from an engineering/manufacturing background and have previous QA experience gained in a similar environment.

Hourly pay rate is £11.30 plus overtime.
