Venrec are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client for a Transport Operator to join our clients transport company based in Dover, Kent

The role entails:

- Analysing the transport plan in order to identify any short comings
- Ensuring that all drivers are following driver hours regulations
- Communicating with drivers and sub contractors, ensuring that all elements of the job are accurately relayed
- Working closely with the compliance team to ensure that all vehicles are compliant
- Liaising with the firms planning team in order to optimise fleet and driver utilisation
- Ensuring that all problems involving delivery timings are resolved quickly and efficiently
- Efficiently managing and overseeing the use of the companies own fleet and any subcontractors
- Undertaking any additional duties and tasks as and when required

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent organisation skills
- Previous experience working as a Transport Operator is essential
- Excellent knowledge of the rules and regulations around fleet operations
- Excellent time management
- Being able to work both independently and as part of a team

Other details:

- The salary for this role is between £30,000 - £35,000 depending on experience
- 4 on 4 off shift pattern
- 08:00 - 20:00
- 20 days holiday allowance + bank holidays
