A well established financial organisation with offices throughout the world is seeking a Compliance Officer to join them on a 12 month fixed term basis to cover maternity leave.

The purpose of the role is to ensure that the company complies with existing regulations and internal policies and ensures that all new regulatory developments and requirements are incorporated into the company’s policy and procedures across the UK.

This varied and interesting role will involve managing regulatory submissions and providing Compliance training, technical guidance, support and tailored feedback on regulatory issues relevant to the business.

The role will also involve monitoring new regulatory developments and legislation that affect the business and operation of the company; facilitating the identification and implementation of procedures, controls and changes to ensure compliance requirements are adhered to; providing advice and support to the business on a range of issues including regulatory supervision, financial, operational and other regulatory implications of new business proposals.

The role offers variety, ownership and the opportunity to get involved in key projects and initiatives across the business.

The role will be hybrid but will also involve travel to other offices at times.

The right person for this role will have a good working knowledge of UK compliance and regulatory laws plus knowledge of the FCA and PRA handbooks with particular emphasis on the Senior Managers and Certification Regime. Experience within the insurance sector is preferable, and you should be an excellent communicator as you will be liaising at all levels within the business.
