An opportunity has arisen for an Export Freight Forwarding Coordinator to join our client, a Freight Forwarding company based in Essex.

The role of the Export Freight Forwarding Coordinator is to manage the movement of goods from the point of origin to the final destination, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining compliance with international trade regulations.

On a day-to-day basis, you will be liaising with customers, ensuring the correct export documentation is received, and then sending it over to Shipping Lines, Carriers and Agents for shipments.

Other duties of the Export Freight Forwarding Coordinator: 


Working alongside the Transport department to ensure all bookings are handled correctly.Place bookings with Shipping Line, carrier and agents and ensure they are given instructions for Bills of Lading, VGM and UCR references.Work alongside the Finance department to ensure all invoices are paid correctly before Bill of Lading / Cargo is released and dispatched.Allocate all incoming payments on the company IT system.
 

To be the successful Export Freight Forwarding Coordinator, you will need to have previous experience working in a busy Export Freight Forwarding environment, as well as knowledge of Air and Road Freight Exports.

You will also need to have knowledge of Export Customs Clearance and good commercial awareness.

We are keen to speak with candidates who have a strong background working within the Freight Forwarding or Logistics industry.

Skills and experience required: 


Experience dealing with Export shipments – ideally by sea.Excellent IT skills – able to use Microsoft Office applications.
