My client is a Tunbridge Wells based school looking to recruit a 3 day a week Payroll Officer.

Reporting into the Head of Finance, the role leads on managing the monthly payroll process from end to end, ensuring compliance and managing against any payroll errors.  There is also a small weekly payroll, managed on a timesheet basis, You`ll ensure HMRC compliance in respect of deduction and payment of relevant tax, National Insurance and other statutory obligations. You`ll manage the timely deductions and uploads of pension contributions and all new starter / leaver data to the scheme provider. Working closely with both HR and Finance, you`ll be the first point of call from the staff regarding payroll queries. Although sector experience would be useful, it is not an expectation.

Applications are sought from candidates with good payroll processing experience, who are naturally well organised with good attention to detail. This is a 12 month contract to start ASAP.
